What Unitley means by a week, last week, an NFL week, a slate and a day, so the console, the tools and these docs read the same way.
A few words about time mean one thing everywhere in Unitley: the console, the tools, the prompts and these docs.
Week
A week is 7 days. Which seven depends on where you read it:
- On the Overview, for the NFL, it is the NFL week holding today: Tuesday to Monday, by US Eastern calendar day, named for that NFL week, such as "NFL Week 5". Between seasons, and in a week the NFL plays no games, it is the last 7 days instead.
- On the Overview, for a sport played every day, it is the last 7 days: today and the days before it, by US Eastern calendar day. The console calls it "this week".
- Either way, the Overview goes day by day, by US Eastern calendar day. See Which day a bet counts on.
- For the weekly loss limit and get_bankroll, it is the 7 days back from this moment, counted in hours.
- In the
bankroll-checkprompt,weekreads your bet log for the last 7 days. See Prompts.
Last week
The week before the week, so the two line up day for day. For the NFL it is the NFL week before, such as Week 4 against Week 5, skipping a week the NFL plays no games, such as the one before the Super Bowl. For the last 7 days, it is the 7 days before them. The Overview compares your units won with it.
NFL week
The NFL's own numbered week of the season, such as Week 6, or a playoff round, such as the Wild Card round. On the Overview, an NFL week runs Tuesday to Monday, US Eastern time, so Monday night's game closes it. It takes its name from the NFL schedule: the week most of its games belong to. Season stats come from weekly files, and the injury report names the NFL week it covers.
Slate
The games in a date range. get_week_slate keeps its name, but it takes from and to dates rather than a week. Leave both out and it covers 6 hours ago to 8 days ahead. A range covers at most 14 days.
Day
On the Overview, a day is a calendar day in US Eastern time, midnight to midnight. The daily loss limit instead counts the last 24 hours back from this moment. See Bankroll and risk profiles.
